UW/Introspections

The project was organised in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the University of Warsaw and the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Polish Culture of the University of Warsaw. It envisaged a number of activities exploring the space of the University Main Campus, its social, material, visual and audio spheres with the use of contemporary art strategies.

 

The activities were carried out by the students of the Culture Animation specialisation at the Institute of Polish Culture under the supervision of Janusz Byszewski, Maria Parczewska, Agnieszka Rayss, Rafał Urbacki and Patryk Zakrocki. The final shows were held during the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Polish Culture on 16-19 May 2016.

 

Opening night of an exhibition by Agnieszka Rayss and the students summing up the visual research of the Main Campus of the University.

 

 

Concert and installation using recordings of the audio sphere of the Main Campus of the University by a group of students and Patryk Zakrocki.

 

 

Interactive activities held in the main yard of the Main Campus of the University were carried out with the participation of students by Janusz Byszewski – “Unreturned books” and Maja Parczewska – “Talking space”.

 

 

The project was co-financed from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
