Miriam Kołak-Pleśniak

The experience gained during my studies make up an amazing patchwork: the classes held as part og the Creative Education Laboratory, later internship as a streetworker with children in the Old Praga District of Warsaw (Mobile School organised by GPAS Praga), audience development, polyphonic singing workshop… Looking back at that time, I believe this is exactly what culture animation consists in: diversity, the need to combine different competences, the ability to adapt to changing conditions and changes, an openness to development and acquiring new experience. Owing to Culture Animation I met incredible people with whom I continue to collaborate in my professional life.

 

Since 2011, has worked in social media, online portals, promotion of culture and the National Centre for Culture (NCK).
Former editor of the platformakultury.pl, participated in the organisation of four editions of the National Project Exchange and first two editions of the Non-Congress for Culture Animators. Involved in creating the social media of the National Centre for Culture (until 2018), the promotion and organisation of various events including: Available Culture, The East of Culture, National Reading of the Gala Awards Ceremony of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Runs classes and workshops on promotion, social media and web writing for culture institutions.
