Marta Wróbel

I was incredibly inspired by the internships and the diverse programme of the specialization which offered a broad culture-oriented perspective and implanted a great curiosity of the world in us. The specialization was what pushed me to write my MA thesis on a topic that interested ne the most – Polish-Jewish relations. It later turned out that this topic dominated a large part of my professional life.

Philologist and graduate of the Culture Animation specialization. Since 2001, has been working at various NGOs.

 

She has been specializing in acquiring funds and philanthropy since 2008. On behalf of the Jewish Historical Institute Association in Poland she coordinated the acquisition of funds for the production of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the History Polish Jews POLIN – one of the largest public and private projects in the culture sector. After the opening of the POLIN Museum she continues to acquire donations for the programme activities, including exhibitions, education, research and cultural events. Since 2011, she has been running a consultancy business in philanthropy. In 2015, she was awarded with the Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture for her contribution into creating the POLIN Museum.
