The trip to the Balkans which is now part of my career and my lifestyle began during my studies as part of the Culture Animation specialization. They were a lesson in such kind of activities that combine artistic imagination with a research approach, attention for the text with field practice, reflections with creation. Culture Animation as one of few career-oriented specializations available in the late 1990s at the Polish Studies Department allowed us to gain professional competence but also emboldened us to make a difference in everyday reality.
