What I acquired during the Culture Animation specialization, however banal this may sound, was a strengthened conviction that it is worth working with a local community, often above profound differences regarding the outlook on life. You can be living in your neighbourhood for 50 years and still be a stranger, a passer-by if you do not actively participate in its life.

 

 

 

 

 

Culture expert, staff member of the Anthropology of Language Unit at the Institute of Polish Culture. He teaches students, researches the Internet in the context of anthropology of language and the history of popular culture in the years 1900–1939.

 

For more than a dozen years now, he has been writing articles and reviews to Nowa Fantastyka periodical. He is the co-author of the Fantastyka z Lamusa [Yesteryear SF] project which consists of a e.g. a series of articles published in Nowa Fantastyka, the https://www.facebook.com/lamusowo/ fanpage, a collection of digitized books in the POLONA Digital Library, articles in periodicals and academic books and classes with students.

 

When he gets back home from work, he takes care of his children, is a member of the Parents’ Council at school and sometimes helps out at the social community centre for local preschoolers.
