Sylwia Chutnik

Sylwia Chutnik absolwentka Animacji Kultury Instytutu Kultury Polskiej Uniwersytetu WarszawskiegoCulture Animation is for me the perfect blend of doing, talking and changing your perception of the world. Owing to the direct methods I can pass my knowledge on and encourage others to share their experiences.
From my time there, I remember best the classes held as part of the Creative Education Laboratory at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art run by Maja Parczewska and Janusz Byszewski that changed my approach to education and art and offered an opportunity to express my creativity.

Writer, culture animator and social activist. For 11 years, she ran the MaMa Foundation advocating women’s rights, executing social campaigns, running workshops, help centres and trainings. Has been involved in the feminist movement for many years. Collaborates with many culture centres and offices in the field of culture (primarily literature), social issues and science.

She ran classes and workshops for diverse target groups: inmates (the book Proszę wejść [Please, come in], mothers (the book Mama bajkopisarka [Mum, the Fairytale Writer]), children and teens and seniors. She guided themed tours of Warsaw (famous women), taught classes in the history of the city at the Children’s University and Seniors’ University. She organised classes for children in civic education (“The Ministry of Children”) and literature (most recently in connection with the book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls).
